Located in a central but also secluded area, our hotel is a place of hospitality, exclusivity and comfort. With 37 rooms and a bright breakfast room our hotel is a popular destination for both leisure or business traveller. A sunny lounge area invites you to stay.
Our hotel is located in a quiet side road at Unterhaching, in the south of Munich. The main attractions, like the pedestrian zone, theaters, operas or the „Neue Messe München“ can easily be reached by using public transportation.

Boutique Hotel "Zur Post" at Vohburg
In the middle of the historic old town of Vohburg, 100m from the Danube lies our Boutique Hotel zur Post, right on the historic castle hill.
Our Boutique Hotel zur Post consists of 4 buildings, including a landmarked old building with two stepped gables and post-Gothic gable decoration from the second half of the 16th century. At the northern corner is a polygonal tower with onion roof. Since 1883, the horse changing station of the post office was housed here.

Gasthaus "Stöttnerbräu" at Vohburg
The history of the Gasthaus Stöttnerbräu is long. From the former "Dismasbräu" of the Sonner family (1787), the manager Max Stöttner to Anton Maier from 1925, who brewed here until the end of the 1960s.
Kai and Maria Magdalena Michaelsen and their team welcome you to the newly renovated Stöttnerbräu at Vohburg.

„Victuals“ is the latin word for food. Within a period of 200 years the Viktualienmarkt developed from a traditional famer’s market to a popular shopping destination for gourmets in Munich’s Old City. It take’s daily place, except on Sundays and Holidays, and consists mostly of permanent market stands.
The cathedral in the Old City of Munich named Frauenkirche was constructed in 1494 and has been the cathedral of the archbishops of Munich Freising for the past 200 years. The three nave late Gothic red brick building with its two towers is widely regarded as the emblem of the Bavarian capital.
The Marienplatz has been considered the central square of Munich since the city was founded by Henry the Lion in 1158. It is located at the crossroad of the two main axes: the east-west axes between Isartor and Karlstor and the north-south axes between Sendlingertor and Schwabing Tor. It is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone and is a popular popular shopping destination and venue.
The Theatinerstraße connects the Odeonplatz with the Weinstraße at the Marienplatz and is considered as one of Munich’s most elegant and luxury shopping streets. A part from an excellent range of shops you will find there the luxury shopping centre called „Fünf Höfe“. The emblem of the street is the Baroque Theatrinerkirche.
The Leopoldsstraße is the continuation of the Ludwigsstraße, the boulevard of King Ludwig I, north of the Siegestor. This street contains the Siegestor, the academy of arts, the Münchner Freiheit and the large scale-sculpture „Walking Man“ by Jonathan Borofsky. For various events like the Munich Marathon or street festivals (for example the street live festival during summer) parts or even the whole street gets closed.

Beer & Oktoberfestmuseum
Built in 1327, the building reopened, after the great town fire, as a museum in 2005.
Competent staff offers guided tours through the museum, where you are not only going to learn something about beer, but also about the historical origin of the Oktoberfest, as a national holiday to the wedding of King Ludwig I.
Pinakothek der Moderne
The „Pinakothek der Moderne“, located in the Barer Street in Munich’s district Maxvorstadt, has 4 independent of each other museums, that visualise the various branches oft art in a worldwide unique institution. The museum contains a collection of modern art, the international Design museum Munich, the architecture museum of the Technical University of Munich and the national graphic art collection.
The „Deutsche Museum“ is the largest scientifically and technical museum in the world. On 73.000 square metres objects from 50 different sectors of science and technic are exhibited. On the initiative of Oskar Miller the museum was founded in the summer of 1903 during the general meeting of the Association of German Engineers.
The Valentin-Karlstadt-Musäum is an exhibition in the Isartor, that is dedicated to the comedian Karl Valentin and his wife Liesl Karlstadt and shows all kinds of bizarre exhibits from their life. Karl Valentin was a Munich comedian, folk singer, author and film producer, who influenced many german artists.
Together with Parkschlösschen Amalienburg; Badenburg, Pagodenburg and Magdalenenklause, the summer residence of the Bavarian elector Ludwig II creates a work of art of word-class.
The royal villa is the only finished construction of Ludwig II.. Not only the french influenced artistic interiors, but also the impressive park are counting as ones of the most beautiful of the 19th century.
The Royal House at Schachen
At a height of 1800m in front of the Wetterstein massif sits the small castle at Schachen. Simple from the outside it unfolds its full oriental glory on the inside in the richly decorated Turkish hall.
Based on the model of Versailles the castle in the style of absolutism is bursting with wealth and splendor. The State bedroom of the unfinished castle is rated as the most expensive room of the 19th century.
The interior of Schloss Neuschwanstein shows Ludwig’s faible for the culture and the royalty of the Middle Ages. The castle is one of the most famous buildings in the world, therefore it is visited every year by up to 1,3 million visitors.
Rose Island in the Lake Starnberg
In the middle of lake Stanberg, surrounded by fragrant flowers, you find rose island, with the Pompeian casino, where Ludwig II. invited every now and then special guests.
The lake 'Tegernsee' is about 40 km away.
